Equipping female STEM students at Aberdeen University with the skills they need to develop a successful career by networking sessions and career-focused events. The society serves to encourage women pursuing STEM subjects by providing support throughout campus life by improving their networks into the industry and helping them to take strong strides into their dream career by holding talks and adv
ice sessions with personnel from the industry. The society was initially started in 2013 for the same objective, was an affinity group under IEEE, a student society and was popularly known as WIE (abbreviation for Women In Engineering) now transformed to an independent society, AUWISE. AUWISE meetings are a great place to know your peers who are looking forward to working in the same industry and know more about the industry life from the industry personnel themselves. This organisation is not limited to those purely interested in academics but also for the ones who love to have a bit of fun!
