We're closing out Act I of the Save Aberdeen Arts Centre campaign as we prepare to head into the next act - but we're not there yet.

We need to raise £60,000 in the next six weeks.

Well done cast member Aled! We’re very proud of you!

We are delighted to introduce our third finalist for Young Musician of the Year 2026 - S1 pupil Aled!

Aled started his singing journey in Infant Glee in Primary 2 and soon discovered a true passion for music and performance. He now performs with the National Boys Choir of Scotland and the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, and is also a talented multi-instrumentalist, playing the bagpipes, trumpet and piano.

When asked what has been his musical highlight at RGC, he said: "I actually have two. My first was at RGC's Got Talent in Primary 7 where I arranged a medley of songs that were all important to my year group and performed them on my pipes with everyone singing along. My second is having the chance to sing a solo on two separate occasions in the Music Hall."
