As part of TLC's commitment to serving our community, we have partnered with the Trussell Trust in or

der to fulfil our aim of supporting people struggling with the effects of poverty across the South of Aberdeen and the surrounding areas. The Befriending Project:
TLC is also working with partners to establish our befriending project (starting in April 2021) working with those affected by the crippling effects of loneliness & Isolation.

We are at the Skills Centre on Victoria Road in Torry from 1pm - 2.30pm today with food parcels.

We are another week closer to the school holidays. While children look forward to this time it can be worrying for parents concerned about the additional costs.

You can help make sure children in Aberdeen enjoy their holidays bouncing with energy and a full tummy.

Our collection point is in Sainsbury’s in Garthdee. We also have an Amazon wish list for anyone who would like to help out from further afield.

At the moment we have more food going out than we have coming in so every individual tin of food is a huge help.

We are also really desperate for shopping bags - these can also be dropped off at or collection point in Sainsbury's Garthdee.

🚗 Volunteer Driver Needed for TLC Foodbank 🚗

TLC are looking for a volunteer driver to help with food parcel deliveries.

This would be just a few flexible hours each week, helping us get essential food parcels to people and families across our community.

You don’t need any special experience — just:

✅ A full driving licence
✅ A little spare time
✅ A kind heart and willingness to help

Every delivery makes a real difference. For some people, that knock at the door means food on the table, a little less worry, and the reminder that someone cares.

Can you help us on a Thursday?

TLC are opening a walk-in food bank In the Old Torry Community Centre on Thursdays from 1pm to 3pm and we’re looking for volunteers who would be willing to support this new service.

This is a really important step for us, helping make support more accessible for people and families who may be struggling and need a safe, welcoming place to turn to.

We’re looking for kind, reliable volunteers who can help with things like:
🥫 welcoming people
🛒 sorting and packing food
💬 offering a friendly face
🤝 helping the session run smoothly

💛 Could your workplace host a TLC donation crate? 💛

TLC Aberdeen Foodbank is asking local businesses, offices, shops, salons, schools, churches and community spaces to consider hosting one of our TLC crates in a staff room, reception area or shared space for a short period of time.

We are seeing families under real pressure, and we want to make it as easy as possible for local people to help in a practical way.

Each crate would focus on specific items we are currently desperate for — for example toiletries, cleaning products, laundry items, tinned food, snacks, or simple foods that can be made with hot water.

Small donations, gathered together, can make a huge difference.

A tin of soup, a bottle of shampoo, a packet of wipes, washing products, or something for a child’s lunchbox might seem like a small thing — but for someone trying to stretch every penny, it can help ease stress, protect dignity, and make the week feel more manageable.

Every child deserves a decent start in life, and every family should be able to get through difficult times with support, kindness and respect.

If your business could host a TLC crate for us, even for a week or two, we would be incredibly grateful. We can provide the crate, let you know what items are most needed, and arrange collection.

We are incredibly grateful to The Green Company for their generous donation of laundry sheets to TLC Aberdeen Foodbank.

For many families, keeping clothes, school uniforms and bedding clean is another pressure on top of rising food, fuel and household costs. Practical donations like this help us offer more than food — they help protect dignity, ease stress, and make everyday life feel a little more manageable.
