EMaD (Everyone Makes a Difference) is a team from mechanical engineering services company, EnerMech. We are participating in the CHILDREN 1ST Scottish Business Challenge and aim to raise a minimum of £5,000 in the Dragons’ Glen charity challenge. Based on the popular television show Dragons’ Den, our brightest stars had to impress Aberdeen business leaders with a plan on how we could raise funds f

or children’s charity CHILDREN 1st. Dragon Bob Ruddiman was impressed with our pitch and said “I’m in” when he gave the nod for £500 seed money which has to be turned in to at least £5,000 by next February. Bob Ruddiman is the Head of Energy at legal firm Pinsent Masons and will mentor us through this challenge. Bell and includes Thomas Smith, Jennifer Batchelor, John Evans, Sarah Macklin, Megan Hine, Grant Marson and Nikkallah Buchan. The successful presentation by our EMaD entrepreneurs was to commission and sell a type of snood or buff which we have branded the “Face Case”. The Face Case is made of breathable fabric which is equally suitable for both hot and cold weather and it can be worn in several different ways (as a hair band, hat, hood, scarf or wristband) and can be used during sport or for keeping out the elements. It will come in a range of colours and is suitable for adults and children alike. EMaD will run a competition for the best design and Face Cases will be offered to corporate clients who can have Face Case with their own branding to be used as corporate gifts. EMaD will be hosting a range of events and fundraisers, including an attempt to break the world record for the largest collection of plush (cuddly!) toys to be held in one place! We look forward to embarking on this challenge and raising plentiful funds for CHILDREN 1ST, we hope you can join us on our journey, after all....Everyone Makes a Difference.

Lets meet Jenni who is our resident expert on sales and marketing!

Born and raised in Maryculter alongside my big sis and a houseful/barn full/yard full of assorted animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, sheep and geese. Aberdeen’s a great place to live because no matter where you stay, you’re no more than 20 minutes drive to the countryside (unless of course it’s rush hour and you have to negotiate the Haudigain!) I particularly love Deeside and really enjoy the fact that there are so many beautiful places just on our doorstep. Working in Aberdeen’s great also as we’re sheltered to an extent from inclement economic conditions when they arise. There’s a real variety of opportunities here for anyone who wants to work hard and achieve professional ambitions. I've worked for EnerMech for four and a half years and have really enjoyed every success and challenge along the way.
