Romanian-Scottish Charity

We are a new charity foundation, formed by Romanian Community in Aberdeen, Scotland. Our purpose it is to collect founds and goods from donners and send them in Romania to help the poor children and mothers that been abused. Because we are aware that the number of the ones is need is big and the resources are limited in this country, we do our best to find resources and send them to our partner-foundations in Romania.

Romania have the most underprivileged children of European Union and for the last five years, the children’s poverty indicators have gotten worse. All of us, who left Romania for a better life we have the opportunity to give something back to our country, to provide goods to others in need, like children and women from deprived families, that live in unsanitary conditions with poor nourishment, without things for a decent life.

Through charitable actions organized mostly at Easter/Christmas, but also on other occasions, like sport activities, sponsored meetings related to Romanian Culture, we save goods like clothes, toys, cleaning and personal items and other essential items. We collect mainly from Scotland but also from other area from UK. We are pleased to find out how many good-willing people are here which are more than happy to join us in our journey to help others in need.

Because we are at the beginning, we don’t have a big database or a website, all we have for now is a page, Romanian-Scottish Charity, where we will update all our activities. But in time we will get better and bigger because we are motivated by the current situation in Romania where too many children are in great need.
