Something special happened on Sunday and we are still smiling about it. ❤️🤍

Young people walked into a room and left with something most adults spend years trying to find. Confidence. Creativity. A sense of who they are.

That is what FACEYOUTH x Aberdeen Fashion Art Media Academy is building, one session at a time.

To every parent who showed up, drove across town, and believed this was worth their child’s Sunday afternoon, thank you. You chose growth for your child and that matters more than you know.

To the incredible team at Fashion Art Media Academy, thank you for showing up with the same heart every single time. This partnership is special and the young people feel it.

And to the young people themselves?
Watch this space. You are just getting started.

Our next session is Sunday 14th June, 2PM to 4PM. Slots are limited so if your child has not joined yet, now is the time.

Because confidence does not build itself. But in the right room, with the right people, it absolutely can.

Tag a parent who needs to see this. 👇

At FACEYOUTH Charity, we are all about boosting the confidence of our children.

We go the extra mile to create a safe and healthy environment for them, so they can grow in love, in strength, and reach their full potential.

As we wrap up this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week (11th–17th May), let’s remember this:
should not only matter for one week. It should be an everyday conversation. ❤️🤍

This year’s theme is:
“Taking action to support good mental health.”

Action for yourself.
Action for someone else.
Action for all of us.

Because awareness alone is not enough. Real change happens when we take action.

Right now, many young people are silently battling exam stress, anxiety, burnout, poor sleep, emotional overwhelm, and social media pressure.

Please check on them.

Many struggling adults first showed signs of distress when they were younger.

That is why believes prevention and early intervention matter.

Mental health support should not begin in crisis.

So what action can we take to support young people with exam pressure?

❤️ Make sure young people are eating properly
❤️Encourage rest and sleep
❤️Help them stay hydrated
❤️Reduce unnecessary pressure at home
❤️Help them manage unhealthy social media scrolling
❤️Check in on their emotional wellbeing
❤️Listen without judgement

And please pay close attention to young people struggling with eating disorders. Stress and poor nutrition can become extremely dangerous during this period.

Most importantly:
Our children are not us.

Some of us survived difficult childhoods, trauma, pressure, and survival mode, but we must not pass those burdens onto the next generation.

Meet young people where they are❤️🤍

SWEETS… OR DRUGS?

These are NOT sweets.

This is how young people are being tricked and many don’t even realise it.

If your child was offered this… would they know the difference?

This is why FACEYOUTH exists.
Beyond our programmes, we are actively working with schools, safeguarding partners, and policy makers to address the growing risks affecting young people today.

This short film is part of our Child Safety & Mental Health Awareness Series, created to expose hidden dangers and protect our children.

⚠️ Awareness is no longer optional.

❤️ Support our work:

We exist for one reason: a better tomorrow, one child, one life, one story at a time. ❤️

At FACEYOUTH, we are more than a programme. We are a lifeline.

We support young people from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds to rise beyond their circumstances, through culturally sensitive, inclusive support that meets them where they are and walks with them to where they deserve to be.

From mental health support to safe spaces, from creative expression to career pathways, everything we do is built on one belief:
every young person deserves not just to survive, but to truly thrive.

For years, we’ve stood alongside individuals, families, and communities across Aberdeen and beyond, breaking barriers, restoring confidence, and helping young people rediscover their voice.

This is not just about skills.
This is about healing.
This is about opportunity.
This is about changing futures.

If you believe in what we do, don’t just scroll past.
Share it. Support it. Be part of it. 🫶🏽

Together, we’re not just building better futures,
we’re rebuilding lives. ❤️🤍
