Today Billy & I had a run to Dunecht to see the late Robbie Shepherd’s memorial cairn. It’s really bonnie, it's made from local granite & has a lovely inscription on the front - just how he would say it 🥰
It’s well worth a run to Dunecht to see it & if you go on a Wednesday & go by Torphins there’s a lovely wee farmer’s market with a fantastic cafe for a cuppa & a fine piece 👍👍

The award winning Crynoch Ceilidh Band who played the Aberdeen RSCDS Centenary Ceilidh - live session on BBC Radio Scotland at 19.00 BST on Saturday 15 August and then on BBC Sounds. Great band, great listening.

Summer Social Dance at Curl Aberdeen on Wednesday 12th. Morag Barclay’s original and inventive programme ranged from Miss Milligan’s Miscellany to The Final Reel via Italy Scotia Shores Danze Scozzesi e Irlandesi (5x5=Great Fun), Cumbria (Avis Harrison’s Strathspey) and Boston MA (Green Mountain Jig). Here’s the more familiar Countess of Dunmore’s Reel. Music by Kathleen Anderson on piano.
