As summer approaches, the pressure to always be social can feel overwhelming for a lot of men. ☀️
Beer gardens, BBQs, football, nights out, drinking culture, group holidays, for some people these things are exciting, but for others they can bring anxiety, pressure or feelings of loneliness.
There can often be an expectation to always be “up for it,” constantly social, drinking alcohol or hiding how you’re really feeling.
But the truth is:
You do not have to force yourself into situations that negatively affect your mental wellbeing.
It’s okay to:
💙 Say no
💙 Stay sober
💙 Leave early
💙 Need quiet time
💙 Protect your peace
Looking after your mental health matters all year round, even during the months that are supposed to feel “fun.”
