Having the right information and contact details can be crucial — whether you’re supporting a family member or friend, or you need support yourself.

You don’t have to face it alone. Reach out, talk to someone, and get the help you need.

Support is available across Scotland.

Reminder of our upcoming awareness session at Middleton Park Community Centre. If you are curious about what we do at MIM please come along.

📣 Bridge of Don, we’re coming to you!

(PLEASE CAN WE ASK THIS TO BE SHARED AS MJCH AS POSSIBLE)

Men In Mind are holding an Awareness Session at Middleton Park Community Centre, Bridge of Don, on Monday 14th September, with a 6:30pm start.

The evening will be an opportunity to find out more about Men In Mind, the work we do within communities across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, and how our peer support groups are helping men to connect, talk and support each other.

Most importantly, we want to hear from the people of Bridge of Don.

We’ll be looking to find out whether there is a need and demand for a Men In Mind group in Bridge of Don, and what that group could potentially look like.

Whether you have heard of Men In Mind before, you’re interested in getting involved, or you simply want to find out more, come along and have a chat with us.

🏇 HELP US SELL OUR REMAINING HORSES! 🏇

Happy Friday, everyone! 💙

We need your help! We still have some horses available to buy ahead of our Fundraising Race Night on Friday 4th September, and we would be incredibly grateful for your support.

🐴 Horses cost just £5 each
✏️ As the owner, you get to name your horse!
🏆 The owner of the winning horse in each race will win a bottle!

Most importantly, every penny raised goes directly to Women and Men In Mind, helping towards the running costs of our 9 weekly meetings and allowing us to continue providing vital support within our community.

If you can, please help us by buying a horse and sharing this post with your friends and family. And if you can join us for the Race Night itself, that would be amazing! 🏇🎉

📩 To buy a horse, simply send us a private message or email [email protected] with:

* How many horses you would like
* Your chosen horse name(s)

We will then send you the payment details.

Thank you so much for your consideration and continued support. 💙

Every horse sold helps us keep our meetings running. 🙏

Anger isn’t always just anger

Sometimes it’s the part of what someone is going through that we can actually see.

Underneath the frustration, snapping or irritability could be stress, grief, loneliness, money worries, exhaustion, fear or simply feeling like you’re failing.

And sometimes it’s easier to say “I’m angry” than “I’m struggling.”

If you recognise this in yourself or someone you know, try looking beneath the surface. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you talk about it.

Talk. Support each other. We’re stronger together.

Big shout out to the folks that took part in this year's GRB. For those who might be unfamiliar, its a gruelling walk, run or cycle from Gamrie (Gardenstown) Rosehearty and Broch (Fraserburgh)

This year 4 of our guys chosen to cycle the route while the rest walked it. We're delighted to say that everyone who took part returned in one piece but were probably moving a bit more slowly after their "ordeal" 😂

Special thanks goes out to the folks who took part to raise funds for us by either walking or running the route. William, Steve, Mikey, Gillian and Stuart we salute you 🫡

What's also been brilliant is not only did we have folks taking part we also had guys give up their time to help support the event by stewarding, manning the water stations and providing "interesting" musical play lists to inspire folks to keep going (We heard the Rocky IV Training Montage was a particular favourite! 😂). We love being part of our community and its great to be able to help out amazing local events like these

Thanks to everyone who's supported us whether that was proving transport to Gamrie for our guys, donating some money or encouraging us to keep going! We really appreciate it!

Huge thanks to the organisers of the thecannonbawzrun_for inviting us along to see the drivers off from Elgin City Centre as they embarked on their epic "Wackybawz" themed NC500 Run

It was a pleasure to speak to the entrants, their co drivers and the general public about the vital services Men in Mind provides across Aberdeen City and Shire.

Big shout out to our hero's (and their co drivers!) who entered their cars and repped the brand while having what sounded like an epic run filled with awesome scenery, banter, great food as well as an evenings entertainment provided by BGT star Ru Mac!

Wer'e very proud of and appreciate you guys taking part 🩵. It's great to see guys coming together from different groups and building that # mentality while helping raise awareness for Mens Mental Health

New week. Same reminder: you don’t have to deal with everything on your own.

Whether things have been building up for a while or you’ve just had a rough week, Men in Mind gives you somewhere to turn up, have a chat and be around other men who get it.

No judgement. No pressure to have the right words. Just peer-to-peer support.

Groups running this week across Bucksburn, Haddo, Torry, Ellon, Cove, Inverurie & Fraserburgh check the post for times and locations.

😉 Happy Sunday! ❤️

As some of you know, we’re holding a Race Night on Friday 4th September at Nigg Bay Golf Course 🐎🥂 and we’d absolutely love to see you there!

This event is to raise much-needed funds for Men In Mind and Women In Mind 💙🩷, helping towards the running costs of our 9 weekly sessions across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

We’re desperately trying to sell the remaining horses and race sponsorship, so if you can support us, we’d be incredibly grateful! 🙏

🐎 Horses are just £5 each — and YOU get to name your horse!
So get creative… funny, cheeky or completely ridiculous names are very much encouraged! 😂🐎

🏆 The winning horse in each race (1–8) wins a bottle!
💷 Race sponsorship is £20
🥇 The overall winning sponsor will receive £50 CASH!

What we still have left:

Race 1: 4 horses
Race 2: 3 horses
Race 3: 8 horses
Race 4: 8 horses
Race 5: 8 horses
Race 6: 8 horses + sponsor available
Race 7: 8 horses + sponsor available

By buying even one or two horses, you’re directly supporting Men In Mind and Women In Mind and helping us continue providing our weekly sessions across Aberdeen and the Shire. 💙🩷

Please comment or message me if you’d like a horse (or two! 😉) — remember, you get to choose the name! — or if you fancy sponsoring one of our remaining races.

And if you’re not able to buy one, please give this post a wee share with your family and friends. Every share helps us reach someone who might be able to support us. 🙏

Thank you so much for all your continued support. It genuinely means the world to us. 💙🩷🐎

Now… who wants a horse?! 🐎🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️
