Powis and Bedford Gala 2026

We'd like to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out yesterday to join in and celebrate another great year of delivering services, activities and events to the people of Powis and Bedford and further afield.

The day was a huge success and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did.

In all the excitement we only managed to get a few photos of the day so if you have any that you'd be happy to share, please drop them in to the comments.

Special thanks goes to our amazing guests and entertainment providers for the day, who were:

YOGI & CINDY BEARS
P J S Events
Denis Law Legacy Trust - Streetsport
Guarana Street Band
R & M Leisure
Police Scotland North East
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service

And thank you to the many, many stalls holders who gave us all something very special with their amazing selection of fabulous products to peruse and enjoy.

An extra special thanks also goes out to some of the amazing contributors of our raffle prizes which was an endless list, but I've added a couple from the top selection here:

Kevin Allan for the 50" TV ❤️
Ronay Allan-Thomson
Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust
Finnies the Jewellers
Sainsbury's
Froghall, Powis and Sunnybank Community Council
Bedford Fishbar
Halfords
Sport Aberdeen to name but a few

I would be very grateful if any of the other wonderful stalls could also tag yourselves in the comments and follow our page so I can give credit to you all aswell ❤️

And of course a huge thank you to all the amazing staff and volunteers who have been working tirelessly in the background to make this event a special day for everyone and to those who pitched in and made it all happen on the day including the amazing team from the Rotary Club of Aberdeen St Machar branch who every year step in to help us make this happen 👏👏👏

💚💚💚
YOGI & CINDY BEARS and Buttercup too 🐾 will be joining us at this year's Powis and Bedford Community Gala on Saturday 12 September 2026 from 11 am to 3 pm.

Come along and meet these sweet gentle giants and find out more about this amazing great cause 👏 ❤️ 🙌

I’ve sat with families through every kind of loss.

The expected goodbye after months in palliative care. The phone call no one ever expects after an accident. The cruel battle with illness. And the devastating loss to su***de that leaves so many unanswered questions.

Different stories, but the same pain left behind.

At YOGI & CINDY BEARS, we made a promise to be there for that pain. To walk alongside friends and family, not to rush them, but to keep them moving forward.

For World Su***de Prevention Day, I want to say this clearly - prevention starts with presence.

Being there. Really being there. When someone needs us most. That is how we change the narrative.

That’s what we do. And that’s why it’s so vital.

If you need us, we are here.
