After a brief lil year to do absolutely nothing else with my time, on July 18th, 2026 we return to the Aberdeen Beach Ballroom with Northern Fights 2: On the Beach!

We will be running tournaments for:

Street Fighter 6
Tekken 8
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising

Good Afternoon fighting game players!

This coming Sunday will be our final day at Your Love Rara Community Interest company . Afterwords we'll have a week off due to being in Dundee for an event and we'll be starting up at our new home: Thistle Tavern on July 14th.

The owners of TT were big supporters of us during our time as an LGS so it's time to repay that support.

So this Sunday, we'll be running a charity bracket. On top of the usual venue fee of £6 there will be an additional £4 to enter the bracket with half going to a prize pool for the winner and the other half being donated to Love Rara.

What game shall we be running for this bracket? Why, all of them of course! Fighting games, competitive shmups, cheeky bit of windjammers, even chess if someone brings a board! Whatever is available.

Players will play a Best of 1 game of RPS (1, 2, 3, GO - none of this go on 3 rubbish)

Winner chooses a game to play a best 3 out of 5 set in. If there's any disputes about the validity of a games ability to be played in such a way bring it up and if the need be ill pick a game for you.

Northern Fights is done and dusted and i'd just like to thank each and everyone of you that came long be it locally or from across Scotland to support and play some games with us!

70+ people came through the doors of the Aberdeen Beach Ballroom to either compete or watch and that is amazing!

Good day, chaps!

There are currently 10 days left at the current price to sign up for Northern Fights. From the 25th to the 27th the venue fee will raise to £25 before registration closes.

If you're coming along, I strongly recommend that you get registered before then!

Good Afternoon Friendos!

There are 2 days remaining before the venue fee for Northern Fights jumps up by £5 so if you're coming along then please do try to sign up before midnight Sunday 18th Feb.

Further News - Seeing as it's an all day affair and Smash setups are going to remain smash setups and wont need to be canablised when swapping from Tekken to Street Fighter, i've decided that there's probably more than enough time to put together a cheeky Doubles bracket as well!

It's been a chunk of time since the Aberdeen contingent put together a decent event for you all but i'm here today to right that wrong.

March 30th 2024, Reset Aberdeen Presents: Northern Fights!
