New to Great Western Community Centre!
Ever wondered how Wikipedia works- or thought you could contribute to it yourself?

From Wednesday 28th October, the centre is hosting a free series of practical sessions exploring how you can become a Wikipedia editor.

Led by Ian Watt, an experienced Wikipedia editor and Wikimedia UK trainer, discover:
- How Wikipedia works and how its articles are created
- The principles and guidelines that editors follow
- How to find reliable information and properly source and cite it
- How to improve existing articles and create new ones
- How to find interesting local subjects that deserve better coverage
- How Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata can help preserve local history and culture
- And most importantly, how to actually edit Wikipedia yourself.

Places are limited to 15 participants, so booking is essential
