Sarah and Tim were delighted to attend the annual Aberdeen Student Show disbursement on Sunday 26th August!

Aberdeen Student Show raised another phenomenal, record breaking amount of money with their recent show 'Cove Actually' - a whopping £168,590.84 for 50 local charities.

As a result, we are incredibly grateful to be receiving a fantastic £2895.76 as one of their Bronze charities which will contribute towards our Adult Services Community Wellbeing Programmes. It was inspiring to be in the room with 49 other charities and seeing just how much the support genuinely means to every organisation! This is the fourth year we've received a donation from the Student Show and we are incredibly grateful for their continued support.

If you haven't been to see a Student Show yet - far hiv ye been?! Make sure to follow their socials for more information on the next production, coming April 2027!

A huge well done again to our very own Hannah Davidson, who was Assistant Director for Aberdeen Student Show for the last two years and all the team behind the show!

We were absolutely delighted to receive the donation of a brand new drum kit from Ian! This will be put to good use by young people on our YMI Music Programme!

Thank you Ian and Drumshack!

🥁 A WIN THAT KEEPS ON GIVING! ❤️

Last month, Ian was the lucky winner of our Roland TD-07DMK V-Drums giveaway - our biggest competition ever!

But there’s an even better ending to the story.

Ian already owns both electronic and acoustic kits, so rather than keeping his prize, he decided to donate the brand-new Roland kit, along with one of his own spare bass drum pedals, to SHMU in Aberdeen.

SHMU is a community media organisation that has recently started providing music lessons for children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to learn an instrument.

Ian told us:

"Winning the prize has helped put a smile on a lot of faces, and I’m sure it will be put to very good use for years to come.”

We couldn't think of a better home for the kit. ❤️

A huge thank you to Ian for such a generous gesture, to SHMU for the brilliant work they’re doing, and of course to Roland for making the original giveaway possible.

And, in Ian's own words, he's “the good looking one in the middle!” 😂🥁

Happy drumming, guys - we hope the TD-07DMK inspires plenty of new young drummers! 🥁🎶
