Thanks to Alistair Henderson for putting in the new wooden framing in the second Greenburn planter to keep the soil in.

Meantime we were off to Ben Reid garden centre today to buy some more plants: mixed colour cyclamen, lime marmalade heucheras, French feathery lavender and mixed colour primula.

Finally got the second bed cleared of w**ds and planted some Japanese anemone.

Weather perfect for gardening ❤️🌷🌿

Will be planting some spring bulbs in both beds once kindly received from Aberdeen council later in year. X

Bit of a drab Sunday but Lesley Glasser and I determined to make a start on cleaning up the Crofters beds. Two hours in and managed to get first one finished, saved phormium some achillea (yarrow), astilbe and a foxglove.

Tough going getting rid of couch grass and clover and will do the other in next two weeks.

Going to plant in some spring bulbs in November , keep it w**ded and put in some new perennials next spring.

Before and after photos look good , managed to clear some litter in area too x

Always great to give a talk and answer questions from the new year one students from the academy about Brighter Bucksburn, as part of their Pride in Bucksburn Project.

They also did a great job of litter picking in the park today.
