31st Aberdeen Girls Brigade

21/10/2026

A big thank you and shout out to our local Asda store at Middleton Park and their Community Champion for kindly donating the tea, coffee and some yummy treats for our Christmas Fayre!

So appreciated - our Brigaders have already been very busy organising and preparing for our Fayre on Saturday 21st November.

Fashions through the decades! 👗👖🧣🎀

There were some funny comments from the girls when they didn’t understand the concept of the iconic 90s shell suit!? 🤷‍♀️

🤣 And looks of alarm when we spoke about how many of those butterfly clips we used to put in our hair back in the day! 🦋

🐊 But almost everyone there last night currently owns a pair of crocs! Just no one realised how old they actually were! 🤣

🎅🏻 It’s October! So that means we can officially talk about Christmas, right?

🎄 Organised by our Brigaders as part of their badge work - we are very excited to be having a Mini Christmas Fayre on Saturday 21st November from 11am - 1pm at St Columba’s Church.

🎁 All money raised will be used to support a local charity’s Christmas appeal such as cash for kids, giving tree etc.

💝 Donations of raffle prizes would be extremely welcome - please get in touch if you would like to donate something.

☃️ Please save the date - our Brigaders are working very hard to ensure this Christmas event is a great success and they would love your support!

A big thank you to the girls who attended our company’s Dedication Service this morning as part of St. Columba's Church’s Harvest Service.

Also thanks to those who donated canned food at GB on Thursday, as part of the collection that will be donated to Instant Neighbour by the church.

🐝 Which decade?! Tonight we had a fun decades quiz - identify the item and the decade it’s from. There were some interesting answers for the floppy disk! 💾

🎶 The music round was also interesting - who knew The Macarena sounded like a song from the 1970s!? 🤣
