We are delighted to announce the Executive members of the RGU SPE Student Chapter for 2023/24. The Chapter's achievements and progress have had a tremendous impact on the students' development by focusing on technical presentations and extracurricular activities that engage them in the SPE community, providing them with valuable experience for their prospects. Delighted to share the success of our technical lecture on net zero sustainability and blue hydrogen! 🌍💡 Inspiring discussions, valuable insights, and a shared commitment to shaping a greener future.

Key learnings from the lecture:

💡Understanding what blue hydrogen is: Blue hydrogen is produced from natural gas through a process called steam methane reforming, where carbon dioxide is captured and stored, resulting in lower emissions compared to traditional grey hydrogen production

💡Understanding the importance of transitioning to net zero emissions and the role of blue hydrogen in achieving this goal.

💡 Exploring innovative technologies and strategies for reducing carbon footprint in the energy sector.

💡Gaining insights into the opportunities and challenges associated with the utilization of blue hydrogen in various industries.

Huge thanks to our guest speaker Alexander Oburoh for his enlightening presentation, and to all attendees for their active participation. Together, we're making strides towards a greener future!
