Our Peterhead King’s Trust Team 4 have just wrapped up their work placements across Peterhead and beyond, getting a proper taste of the world of work with:
Motive Energy, Symposium, Jack Taylor Seafoods, AF Yule, Palace Hotel, Aberdeen Foyer, Fruit Mart, Score Europe, Hey Sweetie & Cancer Research Fraserburgh 🙌

Shoutout to Connor P, who spent his placement at Motive Energy – and absolutely smashed it 👏

Here’s what Mark from Motive had to say:
“He’s done everything he has been asked to quickly and safely and been here early every day and ready for the toolbox talk with his boiler suit on.”

That’s what it’s all about! 🔥

Connor summed it up best:
“Very tiring but so fun… I’ve learnt heaps, it’s been such a good experience.”

Even better – Connor’s mum says the difference in him has been massive. More confidence, more drive, and a young person really starting to see what they’re capable of ❤️

This is why work placements matter.
Confidence grows. Skills build. Futures start to take shape.

The King's Trust Aberdeen Team 4 are running a food drive in support of Instant Neighbour as part of their Team Challenge 🙌

Team Challenge is all about young people planning and delivering something that makes a real difference in their community – and this one is fully led by the team from start to finish 💪

They’re building skills, confidence and teamwork along the way, while helping others at the same time.

If you can support, all donations are welcome 🥫
Drop-off: Marywell Centre, Marywell Street, Aberdeen
Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
Deadline: Tuesday 14th April

Big shout out to Aberdeen King’s Trust Team 4! 👏

The team recently completed their community project at Transition Extreme Sports Ltd. Extreme, giving the upstairs multi-purpose space a fresh coat of paint. Proper team effort from start to finish and a chance to build skills along the way 🎨

They also organised their own Quiz Night fundraiser (hosted by Transition Extreme) and smashed it – raising £200 for the project 🙌

Massive thanks to David Kindness from Robertson Group who linked in with Crown Paint and helped secure donations of paint, brushes, rollers and dust sheets – made a huge difference!

And of course, thanks to everyone who supported the team along the way 👊

🌟 Friday Drop-In at Drummers Corner 🌟

We’re opening up The Foyer every Friday from 11:30am to 1:30pm for you to drop-in.

If you fancy a warm drink, a fine piece and a chat, just pop in. It’s a chilled space to take a break, meet folk and find out what’s happening locally.

No booking or anything like that. Just come in. Everyone’s welcome!

🌱🎨 Community Project Update – Gray Court Residential Home

Our King’s Trust Learning Team have been busy over at Gray Court Residential Home in Summerhill, giving the outdoor garden space a tidy-up and freshening up one of the indoor seating areas with a new coat of paint.

A huge thank you to David Kindness from Robertson Construction, who is a fantastic supporter of the work we do. David reached out to Dulux, who kindly donated paint, brushes, rollers and dust sheets to help make this project happen.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support, and the team did an amazing job creating a brighter, more welcoming space for the residents. 💙🧡

🌟 Aberdeen REACH Team 29 are hard at work this week organising their fundraiser to support their upcoming community project — renovating the communal room for residents at Fraser Court, Aberdeen!

👏 A huge shout-out to Billie-Jo, who’s taking the lead on organising the fundraiser as part of her leadership development goal. On her walk home yesterday, she popped into Black Sheep Coffee to ask if they could help — and her fantastic initiative paid off!

☕ Thanks to their generosity, the team now have cups to use for teas and coffees at their bake sale fundraiser.

💪 The REACH Programme is about so much more than employability — it’s about confidence, teamwork, and making a real difference in the community.

🎉 Exciting news from Aberdeen Foyer's REACH learners! 🎉

Aberdeen REACH Team 29 have chosen Langstane Housing Association at Fraser Court, Aberdeen for their upcoming community project. 💪

They’ll be working alongside residents to give the common room a much-needed makeover, transforming it into a welcoming space that everyone can enjoy. 🛋️✨

Fraser Court is home to around 150 residents aged 16–90, and the learners’ goal is to create a true sense of community — a place where residents can connect, relax, and where local partners can use the space as a friendly drop-in hub. ❤️

The project takes place next month, so keep an eye on our page to follow their progress and see the transformation unfold! 👀🔨

The internet can be amazing, but also intense and confusing. We want young people to be a part of the solution, not just the story. Have you ever thought: "Adults don’t get it" or “I wish I could help others avoid what I went through"? Then this role could be for you.

As a Peer Expert, you will be the relatable voice in the room, co-creating and co-leading workshops, speaking openly about online life, and helping design tools that families can actually use. In return, you will gain paid, flexible work experience, full training and support, real leadership experience, and a chance to shape something new.
