From the outside it was an art class. In reality…

Today was an adventure!

We re-created a map of Azerbaijan and, as we were doing it, we explored its boarders and neighbours, learned its major cities in the country.

As if it wasn’t enough, we added into the mix fun and fascinating facts about this beautiful country

From stunning landscapes to unique cultural features, we offered a glimpse of what makes Azerbaijan truly special to young minds.

Such a fun and educational journey!

We are thrilled to announce that Buta Community and Wellbeing Project has officially started. We meet on Saturdays at Mile End School in Aberdeen!

Our first sessions of Azerbaijani dance and chess brought together wonderful participants. It’s absolutely amazing that we are eager to learn, connect and celebrate our heritage through art, movement and fun. It was inspiring to see such enthusiasm and community spirit on day one.

A heartfelt thank you to all the families, volunteers and instructors who made this launch possible. We are excited for the journey ahead as we grow together with more classes, including Azerbaijani language coming soon.

Great time bringing families together and uniting as a community!

Stay tuned here for updates, photos and upcoming events. If you haven’t joined us yet, it’s never too late to be part of the Buta family!
