At Grampian Women's Aid, our Children and Young People Team provides a safe space where children can express themselves, build confidence, and begin to recover from their experiences.

🎉Celebrating Change🎉

A lot of what we share at Grampian Women’s Aid can be difficult to read, and for good reason. Domestic abuse is serious, and we have a responsibility to talk about it honestly.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing a series celebrating changes and achievements made possible because survivors spoke up, campaigners kept pushing, and organisations like ours refused to give up. 🏆

There’s still a long way to go, but it’s important to recognise how far we’ve come.

🌍💚 Happy World Mental Health Day 💚🌍

Today, we’re reminding women that your mental health matters. 💜

Living with domestic abuse can have a significant impact on your mental health and wellbeing. If you’re struggling, please remember that it’s okay not to be okay, and you don’t have to face it alone.

Together, we can break the stigma, support one another and create spaces where women feel safe to speak about how they’re feeling.

You are not alone. Support is here. 💜

🌸 Our latest Flourish group has recently come to an end! 🌸

A huge thank you to our wonderful group team, and especially to all the amazing women who joined us. 💜

Throughout the weeks, we saw connections grow, confidence flourish and women support one another. One particularly special moment was Week 6, when the women shared snacks and treats from their own cultures. 🌍🥰

It was a beautiful celebration of diversity, culture and community, and a lovely reminder of the strength that comes from coming together. 💜

Thank you to everyone who made Flourish so special. 🌱✨
