What if the opportunities you're looking for are hiding inside the problems you're facing?

At Stories of Strength, we continue to create space for honest conversations, shared experiences, and practical wisdom that helps people move forward with confidence.

Some of the powerful insights from our recent discussions included:

✨ Be fearless
✨ Work hard and be responsible
✨ Start with family and friends – your
first supporters are often closer than
you think
✨ Problems are often wells of
opportunity waiting to be discovered
✨ Prepare, study, and show up ready
✨ Explore every opportunity – events,
networks, conversations and new
experiences
✨ Focus on what people need and find
meaningful ways to connect with
them
✨ Build your personality and mental
strength – success starts from within
✨ Stay true to your principles, even
when challenges arise
✨ There will always be people who don't
like you – don't let that stop your
progress
✨ Our skin is a strength, not a weakness

As immigrants, entrepreneurs, professionals, parents, students, and community members, we all have stories, lessons, and strengths that can inspire others.

Join us as we continue the conversation.

George Street / Harbour deserves representatives who show up.

Today I was proud to be out with Cllr Sandra Macdonald, speaking directly with residents about the issues that matter most to them.

The message I'm hearing is clear: people want action, accountability, and a council that puts communities first.

That's why I'm standing.

And that's why I'll keep knocking on doors, listening, and working hard for every vote.

Because real representation starts with being present. Vote 1 against my name on the ballot. Let's get to work on 25th June 2026.

07/06/2026

I am proud to announce that I am standing as the Scottish Labour Party candidate for the George Street / Harbour By-Election on 25 June 2026.

I am standing because I believe our communities deserve more than promises.

They deserve action.

As a business owner, I understand the challenges facing local businesses that are the lifeblood of our city.

As a father, I want safer streets, stronger communities, and better opportunities for future generations.

As a community champion, I have spent years bringing people together, supporting individuals from all backgrounds, and working to make a real difference where it matters most.

Now, I want to bring that same energy, determination, and commitment to George Street / Harbour Ward.

My priorities are clear:

✅ Scrap the Bus Gates

✅ Review the Low Emission Zone

✅ Crack Down on Anti-Social Behaviour

✅ Invest in Our Communities

✅ Tackle the SNP's Spiralling Debt

But this campaign isn't about me.

It's about you.

Over the coming weeks, I'll be out across the ward meeting residents, speaking with businesses, listening to concerns, and discussing the issues that matter most.

Because effective representation starts with listening.

And real leadership is about turning conversations into action.

George Street / Harbour deserves a councillor who will be visible, accessible, and prepared to stand up for local people every single day.

I am ready to listen.

I am ready to act.

And I am ready to deliver.

Let's get to work.

💚 HOUSEHOLD HARDSHIP FUND SUPPORT 💚

Our mission goes beyond promoting, preserving, and advancing Igbo arts, heritage, and culture. A key part of our charitable objectives is also to help prevent, relieve, and reduce poverty within our communities.

We understand that many individuals and families are facing difficult times, and sometimes a little support can make a meaningful difference.

We are therefore pleased to share that we have recently received funding through the Household Hardship Fund to support people in need.

🖤 Support will be provided on a first
come, first served basis
🖤 The fund is limited to the first 110
eligible applicants
🖤 If you require support, please do not
hesitate to apply

✨ “Onye aghala nwanne ya.”

Meaning: Do not leave your brother or sister behind.

This proverb reminds us that community is strongest when we support one another, especially during difficult moments. No one should have to struggle alone.

Please also share this post so it can reach someone who may genuinely need support.
