📚This week, I visited Cap y Gymuned- Community Hub at Capcoch in Aberdare. I saw the immense effort their team has put in to helping their community and ensuring that people receive the support that they need. We talked about the struggles of funding towards their scheme to help children during the summer holidays, to make sure no child goes hungry, and to offer support to their parents.

Their community hub is open to parents, residents and surrounding communities. They offer different kinds of support such as a food pantry, recycled school uniform and a clothing shop. They have helped countless individuals and have had a massive impact on their community but are struggling now with less funding.

It was a pleasure to be able to speak to them and to see the impact they have. I am very moved by the work and feeling of community, and any support shown to them would be incredible and very appreciated.

📚Ddoe, es i ymweld ag Cap Coch yn Aberdâr. Gwelais yr holl ymdrech mae’r tîm wedi’i rhoi i helpu eu cymuned a sicrhau fod pawb yn gallu derbyn y cymorth sydd eu hangen arnyn nhw. Roeddwn ni wedi siarad am ansicrwydd o ariannu eu cynllun o helpu plant yn ystod gwyliau’r haf, a sicrhau nad ydy plant yn mynd yn llwglyd, ac i gynnig cymorth i’w rhieni.

Mae eu canolfan gymunedol ar agor i rieni, trigolion a chymunedau cyfagos. Maen nhw’n cynnig gwahanol fathau o gymorth fel cypyrddau bwyd, gwisg ysgol wedi’i ailgylchu a siop swap ddillad. Maen nhw yn gweithio i helpu nifer fawr o bobl ac wedi cael effaith enfawr ar gymuned, ond mae’n profi fod yn anodd gyda llai o gyllid yn dod mewn.

Roedd hi’n bleser gallu siarad â nhw a gweld yr effaith sydd ganddyn nhw. Mae eu Gwaith a theimlad o gymuned yn ddylanwadol, a bydd unrhyw gefnogaeth a ddangosir iddyn nhw’n wych a byddwn yn ddiolchgar.

We reopen on Tuesday 8th September returning to our usual times.
9-10am & 2.30-3.30pm.
