🏆 BSA Silver Trophy Air Rifle Competition 🏆

A huge congratulations to FS Kiff, FS King, Cpl Dennis and Cdt Breese, who recently represented our squadron in the prestigious BSA Silver Trophy Air Rifle Competition.

The competition attracted an impressive field of 92 teams from across the UK's cadet forces, including the Army Cadet Force, Sea Cadets, RAF Air Cadets and Combined Cadet Force. Competing against such a high standard of shooting talent, our team delivered an outstanding performance to finish in 18th place overall.

This achievement is the result of many hours of training, commitment and determination. Competitive shooting requires not only technical skill and precision but also concentration, discipline and the ability to perform under pressure. The team demonstrated all of these qualities throughout the competition and should be extremely proud of what they accomplished.

Representing the squadron at this level is a significant achievement in itself, and to place in the top 20 of such a large and competitive field is a testament to the hard work that FS Kiff, FS King, Cpl Dennis and Cdt Breese have put into developing their marksmanship skills.

We would also like to extend our congratulations to 2077, 372 and 1344 Squadrons, who also performed exceptionally well in the competition and helped showcase the high standards of shooting across the RAF Air Cadets.

Well done to all the cadets who took part, and a sincere thank you to the staff and volunteers who support and encourage our young people to achieve their best. We are incredibly proud of our team and look forward to seeing what they can achieve in future competitions.

A fantastic couple of days for our cadets!

Four cadets travelled to 2077 Pontyclun Squadron yesterday to complete their Initial Weapon Training (IWT) on the CZ200 air rifle, before returning today to put their new skills into practice. Their focus, effort, and determination throughout have been outstanding.

Congratulations to:
Cpl Hitchings and Cdt Gait on achieving their Marksman (Bronze Badge)
Cdt Hooper on achieving his Trained Shot (Blue Badge)

A brilliant set of results and great to see their hard work paying off.

Well done all!

All weapon training is conducted by qualified staff as part of a progressive syllabus in a controlled environment.
