On July 12, 2013, Paul and my lives changed forever. The loss of our daughter, Brianna, to su***de was the most devastating event of our life. I have worked in the medical field and I work in Youth Ministry. Nothing we have done prepared us for this. Our only saving grace was our faith in god, our strong marriage, and the hope that we can help prevent the loss of one child and the devast
ation and pain it brings to a family. We are available to speak on our faith based journey, faith in the light of tragedy, how your marriage can survive and grow through tragedy, really trusting in God through everything, our talks are available for confirmation retreats, youth groups, marriage groups, young adult, and adult groups. Our message is universal HOPE. We also want reach out to all those in search of answers about su***de, to provide education on su***de prevention and depression. Our goal is to speak about the unspeakable. No one wants to talk about it, we will. We want to break down the walls and stigmatism associated with su***de. We were amazed at the statistics; we endured the stigma, and continue to go through the recovery / grievance process. We are not afraid to talk about su***de and mental illness that directly influences the decision. My husband and I would like to speak to you or your group about the 3rd leading cause of death for young people. We want to educate individuals, families, community groups and anyone else who will listen on various aspects of depression and the medical research on what is going on in the brain of a person who commits su***de. 1. A Journey through Darkness, Introduction to Su***de, Mental Illness, and Depression from a parent who has lost a child to this disease perspective. We present many shocking statistics, aftermath information, medical information available to date and prevention.
2. Faith Journey in the Light of Tragedy, Paul and Teresa take you through their own journey of pain at the loss of their child to su***de and how their strong marriage and faith impacted their journey.
3. Trusting in God through everything, Journey with Paul and Teresa as they speak about how they placed their trust in the only place they could Christ. The message is very personal and intimate as they share their heartbreak and their joy of living a life filled with the HOPE of Christ.
4. Life is a gift a message of HOPE let Paul and Teresa share their own journey and present how “Life is a Gift” the struggle and reality of losing your child to Su***de. They will take you on a very personal journey of how they came to understand just how precious life is. This talk focuses on abortion, su***de and the aftermath.
5. Can my Marriage Survive, Teresa and Paul share how a strong marriage can make it through just about anything including a loss of a child by su***de. They will take you through the guilt, blame, shame and how Christ, helped them reconcile everything.
