DADDA JI INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL CENTRE: PREPARATIONS FOR THE 11TH INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA 2026
The DADDA JI INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL CENTRE, based in Ventenac (Ariège)France, is actively preparing to celebrate June 21, 2026, the 11th edition of the International Day of Yoga. True to its mission of sharing humanist values and fostering cultural exchange between India and France, the association is organizing a unifying and inclusive event.
"YOGA FOR HEALTHY AGEING": A THEME FULL OF HOPE
This year, the official theme chosen by the Ministry of AYUSH is "Yoga for Healthy Ageing". In response to global population ageing, this theme highlights yoga's vital role in maintaining mobility, independence, and overall well-being at every stage of life.
The DADDA JI INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL CENTRE's event embraces this worldwide movement. It will offer a holistic approach to better health, integrating:
· Physical practices to strengthen the body and prevent age-related imbalances.
· Stress management tools (meditation, breathing techniques) to cultivate inner peace and harmony among all living beings.
A FESTIVE DAY OPEN TO ALL
In keeping with its tradition of organizing events around yoga, music, and art therapy, the centre is planning a rich and accessible day for the public (following the success of previous editions in Toulouse):
· Group yoga sessions: Hatha-yoga and traditional practices suitable for all levels.
· Wellness workshops: Art therapy and discovery of world cuisine for holistic health.
· Moments of sharing: Exchanges and conviviality around devotional songs (bhajans)
Through this event, the Centre continues to build bridges between cultures, spreading hope for a healthier, more peaceful, and harmonious life—fully aligned with the challenges of our contemporary world.
