The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Somaliland H.E. Dr. Ciise Kayd, who arrived in France, was welcomed by the Chairman of the Umbrella Organization of Somaliland Communities in Europe Mr. Mohamed Hassan, accompanied by the Chairman of the Somaliland Community in France, Mr. Cumar Cigaal.

The Minister held meetings with senior officials of the French government, where they discussed strengthening the relations between the two countries.

**Establishment Meeting of the Umbarella of Somaliland Communities in European Countries*
**{25 November 2023}**

It was a great honor for me to participate today in the meeting of the leaders of Somaliland communities in Central European countries, who came from Belgium, France, Germany, and Switzerland. The meeting was held in Brussels, Belgium.

The meeting, which lasted for several hours, established a federation that will unite Somaliland communities living in Central European countries. This federation will work on strengthening coordination and cooperation among Somaliland communities in these countries, and will aim to unite the strength, intellect, and resources of Somaliland communities living in Europe.

The meeting was attended by several officials, including the Chairman of the Somaliland Community in Belgium and the Ambassador of Somaliland to the European Union.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a chairman and a leadership committee were elected to lead the organization.
The chairman elected was Scholar Mohamed Hassan, representing the Somaliland community in France.
The Vice Chairman elected was Mohamed Ciise (Case), representing Germany.
The Secretary General elected was Mr. Xuseen Maxamed Adan (Abdo).

The meeting was concluded with an inspirational and motivational speech delivered by the Ambassador of the Republic of Somaliland to the European Union, Ambassador Kaysar Cabdillaahi Maxamed.
