The END of a chapter

On January 30, 2026, during the General Assembly marking the dissolution of the Varennes-Jarcy English Club, I received this beautiful bouquet of flowers.
A gesture that touched me deeply.
A farewell gift, as we say in English.

This bouquet warms my heart.
It illuminates the end of a chapter.
It whispers to me that nothing ever truly fades away…

Through it, the Varennes-Jarcy English Club I founded 11 years earlier still lives on, just a little longer.

This bouquet brings me back to wonderful memories ✨of all we built together: recruiting the board, selecting our instructors, managing the organization, and leading activities to share a love ♥️ for English with members aged 6 to 77. Guiding them to spread their wings 🪽.

Beyond classes and holiday workshops, we spoke English, sang in English, laughed and connected during our Cup of Tea gatherings, visited London, walked and talked in English during our Walk & Talk sessions, and went to theatre in English .

The association helped open professional doors, made travels more enjoyable and efficient , and allowed friendships to grow and deepen.

The story continues with another association, the English Club of Varennes-Jarcy, like a flame passed from one hand to another.

Thank you for this light,
for this thoughtful gesture
so beautiful, so meaningful, so full of life.

🌟 Highlights from Our Walk & Talk Event 🌳🚶‍♂️

On March 15th, 2025, the Varennes Jarcy English Club enjoyed a delightful Walk & Talk event along the beautiful Yerres river. 🌳🚶‍♂️
After our refreshing walk, we visited the local art exhibition in Varennes Jarcy and voted for our favorite painting! 🎨🖼️
It was a lovely afternoon spent with 13 wonderful people. 😊

🍀 A New York, depuis le 15 mars, le début du week-end de la Saint Patrick ☘️ est célébré avec enthousiasme! 🍺

Saint Patrick, le saint patron de l'Irlande, est célébré pour son rôle dans la diffusion du christianisme à travers le pays au 5ème siècle. On lui attribue traditionnellement le mérite d'avoir chassé les serpents 🐍 d'Irlande et d'avoir utilisé le trèfle 🍀 pour expliquer le concept de la Sainte Trinité.
La Saint-Patrick, observée le 17 mars, commémore sa mort et est marquée par des défilés, le port de vêtements verts et diverses festivités.

🍀 in New York since March 15th, the start of the St. Patrick's Day weekend has been enthusiastically celebrated ! ☘️ 🍺
St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, is celebrated for his role in spreading Christianity throughout the country during the 5th century.
He is traditionally credited with driving snakes 🐍 out of Ireland and using the shamrock 🍀 to explain the concept of the Holy Trinity.
St. Patrick's Day, observed on March 17th, commemorates his death and is marked by parades, wearing green, and various festivitivities.
