¡MASH-UP! – Multigender / Multiworld is a q***r collective from Berlin. Since 2011 we organise big and small parties, also taking part with a bombastic truck in the annual alternative LGBT*QI rally in Kreuzberg (now called X*CSD). Whether in the streets or in the clubs, ¡MASH-UP! offers a powerful line-up of sexy-political live concerts, performances, non-mainstream DJs, video-art, delicious veggie-food, haircuts and many other nice things, infecting the crowd with lots of positive energy and messages. Our goal is to bring some good vibes into the political q***r scene of Berlin and try to act as a melting pot. We are a bunch of people of different nationalities, colours, creeds and backgrounds. We live and love life, diversity, intersections and multiple identities, walking through different spheres at the same time. ¡MASH-UP! – Multigender / Multiworld is a platform to get together, exchange ideas, feel good, have fun and empower transtropical, postcolonial and nonconformist q***rs and their friends. We dream of a world without borders. Tired of usual “we are against“ discourses, ¡MASH-UP! has a different political approach. We prefer to ask ourselves: what are we fighting FOR? We are sure that self-consciousness and openness are the best way to help fight back racism, classism, sexism, heteronormativity, transphobia and prejudice in general – in us q***rs too! Our parties intend to be an open – but safe – space where we can practice togetherness in difference.

Seit 2011 organisieren wir neben großen und kleinen Partys auch regelmäßig einen bombastischen Truck auf der jährlich stattfindenden alternativen Pride - dem X*CSD in Kreuzberg. Ob auf der Straße oder in Clubs, ¡MASH-UP! bietet einen fantastischen Mix aus sexy-politischen Live-Konzerten, Performances, non-mainstream DJs, Video-Art, leckerem vegetarischen Essen, Haarschnitt-Aktionen und vielem mehr, um so die Menge mit positiver Energie und Botschaften anzustecken. Unser Ziel ist es, mit guten vibes die politische q***re Szene von Berlin aufzuwirbeln und ein Schmelztiegel zu sein. Vive la différence! Wir sind eine Mischung aus vielfältigen Nationalitäten, Hautfarben, Glaubensrichtungen und Hintergründen. Wir leben und lieben das Leben, Diversität, Überschneidungen und Mehrfachidentitäten. Wir bewegen uns durch verschiedene Sphären zur gleichen Zeit. ¡MASH-UP! – Multigender / Multiworld ist ein Ort des Beisammenseins und Ideen-Austauschs, des Spaß-Habens und sich Wohlfühlens, mit dem Ziel, die transtropische, postkoloniale und nonkonformistische q***re Szene zu stärken. Wir glauben nicht an das „Wir sind dagegen“, sondern haben einen anderen politischen Ansatz und ein anderes politisches Verständnis: Wo-FÜR kämpfen wir? Selbstbewusstsein und Offenheit sind der beste Weg, Rassismus, Sexismus, Klassismus, Heteronormativität, Transphobie und Vorurteile im Allgemeinen abzubauen – auch innerhalb der Szene. Unsere Partys sind offen, aber safe, ein Ort, an dem das Miteinander in seiner Vielfältigkeit praktiziert werden kann.
