🇫🇷 C’est avec une profonde tristesse que l’organisation du Vendée Globe a appris la disparition de Charlie DALIN, vainqueur de la dixième édition du Vendée Globe.
En janvier 2025, Charlie DALIN franchissait la ligne d’arrivée des Sables d’Olonne au terme d’un tour du monde d’exception, bouclé en 64 jours, 19 heures et 22 minutes. Une course menée en tête une grande partie du parcours, qui restera dans l’histoire de notre épreuve.
Son palmarès, construit saison après saison, et son engagement de chaque instant pour la course au large resteront pour toujours dans nos mémoires.
Le Vendée Globe souhaite rendre hommage à l’homme qu’il était, à son parcours et son courage. Charlie DALIN a fait rêver des générations de navigatrices et de navigateurs, et bien au-delà, tous ceux qui suivaient ses exploits. Son exemple continuera d’inspirer.

🇬🇧 It is with deep sadness that the Vendée Globe organisation has learned of the passing of Charlie DALIN, winner of the tenth edition of the Vendée Globe.
In January 2025, Charlie DALIN crossed the finish line in Les Sables d'Olonne at the end of an exceptional round-the-world race which he completed in 64 days, 19 hours and 22 minutes. A race which he led for a large part of the course will remain in the history of our event.
His track record, built season after season, and his constant commitment to ocean racing will remain forever in our memories.
The Vendée Globe seeks to pay tribute to the man he was, to his career and to his courage.
Charlie DALIN made generations of sailors dream, and far beyond that, all those who followed his exploits. His life and his example will continue to inspire.
