🔹Behind every discussion on participation, inclusion, and citizenship there are people working every day to make it happen🔹

🌐At our international in Vicenza, we are honoured to welcome speakers from Portugal, Slovenia, France, Belgium and Italy who will share their experience in supporting migrant communities, strengthening civic engagement, and creating pathways for meaningful participation in public life.

Together, Adam Labaran, Samar Zughool, Beatrice Collina, Fernando Chironda and Ismail Alkhateeb will explore a crucial question: how can people with backgrounds actively participate in their communities and in decision-making processes while facing everyday structural barriers?

Their perspectives, drawn from different local and national contexts across Europe, will help us move beyond theory and focus on practical solutions for more inclusive societies.

🌍 Building stronger communities through dialogue, inclusion and participation!

On 10–11 June 2026, representatives from local authorities, civil society organisations and community leaders gathered in Vicenza, Italy, for the International Capacity-Building Event on Inclusive Governance, Intercultural Dialogue and Community Engagement.

Hosted at Fondazione Monte di Pietà di Vicenza, the two-day event provided a space for learning, exchange and co-creation, bringing together international experiences and local perspectives. Through interactive workshops, peer-learning sessions and practical exercises, participants explored tools for conflict-sensitive dialogue, compassionate listening and inclusive governance.

The event also highlighted inspiring practices from different contexts, encouraging participants to reflect on how successful approaches can be adapted and replicated within their own communities.

By promoting intercultural dialogue and strengthening local capacities, the initiative contributed to building more inclusive, resilient and participatory societies.

🤝 Thank you to all participants, facilitators and partners who made this valuable exchange possible.
