📅 22.09.2026: SBIM Multiplier Event Recap!

This Tuesday we closed out SBIM: Skip the Barriers of International Mobility with a multiplier event bringing together youth workers, partners and participants to share what we've learned over 24 months about the barriers young people face when it comes to mobility abroad, and how to skip them. 🚀

From presentations to hands-on group work and a well-deserved apéro to wrap it all up, thank you to everyone who joined us! 🙌

Ce mardi, nous avons clôturé le projet SBIM, Skip the Barriers of International Mobility, avec un événement multiplicateur réunissant travailleur·euses jeunesse, partenaires et participant·es autour des résultats de 24 mois de travail sur les freins à la mobilité internationale des jeunes, et comment les dépasser. 🚀

Entre présentations, ateliers en petits groupes et un apéro bien mérité pour clôturer la journée, merci à toutes celles et ceux qui étaient présent·es ! 🙌

🇪🇺 What does democracy look like when young people are the ones shaping it?

Our Communications Assistant, Diğdem Güçlüeller, represented Youth Express Network at the Youth Event of the New Democratic Pact for Europe, held 24–26 June at the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg 🏛️

Alongside around 120 young people and youth organisation reps from across Europe, she spent three days in democratic dialogue, debate, and creative sessions discussing aspirations, challenges, and proposals for innovating and renewing democracy. The ideas and outputs developed will feed directly into the New Democratic Pact, especially its work on innovating democracy.

It was a powerful reminder that youth voices aren't just being heard but also they're helping build the future of European democracy from the ground up. 💬✊

A huge thank you to the European Youth Forum and the Council of Europe Youth Department for this opportunity 🙏

🇪🇺 À quoi ressemble la démocratie quand ce sont les jeunes qui la façonnent ?

Nous avons eu la chance de représenter Réseau Express Jeunes à l'Événement Jeunesse du Nouveau Pacte Démocratique pour l'Europe, organisé du 24 au 26 juin au Centre européen de la jeunesse à Strasbourg 🏛️

Avec environ 120 jeunes et représentant·e·s d'organisations de jeunesse venus de toute l'Europe, nous avons passé trois jours de dialogue démocratique, de débats et d'ateliers créatifs, en partageant nos aspirations, nos défis et nos propositions pour innover et renouveler la démocratie. Les idées et résultats que nous avons élaborés alimenteront directement le Nouveau Pacte Démocratique, en particulier son volet consacré à l'innovation démocratique.

Un rappel puissant que la voix des jeunes n'est pas seulement entendue elle contribue à construire, dès aujourd'hui, l'avenir de la démocratie en Europe. 💬

Un grand merci au Forum européen de la jeunesse et au Service de la jeunesse du Conseil de l'Europe pour cette opportunité.

As part of the Erasmus+ project "Skip the Barriers of International Mobility" (SBIM), an analytical report has been produced, based on feedback from nearly 50 youth workers from the various partner countries (Belgium, France, North Macedonia). 💬

🖊️ This note covers three themes:
-Analysis and sharing of good practices among youth workers�
-Mobility programmes used�
-Resources and tools: strengths and weaknesses

🌍 The workers focused on international mobility schemes for young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities. They identified the obstacles and highlighted appropriate support practices to improve access to international mobility. Finally, concrete suggestions were put forward that are closely aligned with the realities faced by young people and the professionals supporting them.

Enfin, des pistes concrètes ont été proposées au plus près des réalités des jeunes et des professionnels qui les accompagnent.

📊 More than 400 million tons of plastic are produced worldwide each year, less than 10% of which is recycled.
🌊 Approximately 11 million tons of plastic end up in lakes, rivers, and oceans each year.

The Youth Express Network was present at the two “United in Diversity” events organised by to mark Europe Day on 6 May in Schiltigheim and 27 May in Strasbourg. 🇪🇺
These gatherings provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with many children, teenagers and families about Europe. Through various games and fun activities, participants were able to discover the values of solidarity, cooperation and intercultural openness. 💬
These days also provided an opportunity to collaborate with the various associations present and to learn more about their work.
A big thank you for this great afternoon!

Le Réseau Express Jeunes était présent lors des deux évènements « Unis dans la diversité » organisés par la à l’occasion de la Fête de l’Europe le 6 mai, à Schiltigheim et 27 mai, à Strasbourg. 🇪🇺
Ces temps de rencontre ont été l’occasion d’échanger avec de nombreux enfants, adolescents et familles autour de l’Europe. À travers différentes animations et activités ludiques, les participant.e.s ont pu découvrir les valeurs de solidarité, de coopération et d’ouverture interculturelle. 💬
Ces journées ont également été l’occasion de coopérer avec les différentes associations présentes et d'en apprendre davantage sur leurs missions.
