Robert Mornet and ‘La Barque de Poste’
Background
Robert Mornet was born on 8th May 1946 in Bresse in the Burgundy region of France. He started work as a gold miner, he’s been a musician and a teacher for rehabilitation of disadvantaged children. He married and has two children.
Robert undertook a project to build a replica of a postal delivery boat that was used on the canals of France from 1818-1858. Robert started the build in 2006 this was completed in August 2011 when he launched the Boat in Séte and he started his life on the Canals of France.
Robert’s is in ill health and his boat is in a severe state of disrepair. So much so that he has had to move off the boat. Youtube .

Aim
We are asking for crowdfunding to pay for repairs to Robert’s boat. In addition to the repairs we hope to add some eco-friendly means to provide Robert with electricity and basic amenities. I hope to video this whole venture and place it on Youtube.
