The Noble Brotherhood of Saint George of Burgundy was founded in 1390 by Phillibert de Mollans, a nobleman from Franche-Comté or comté de Bourgogne. A tradition claims that he made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and brought back a relic of Saint George, then founded the Order. After over six centuries, Knights and Dames from all over the world still lead the way towards a better society, acting as

a bridge between nations, for a better understanding and sharing of the chivalric values that are common to most societies. The current Governor General elected for life is His Serene Highness Don Louis-François S. Répertoire national des associations (RNA) n° W361004349
