We are keeping the education and awareness going even after this TGCT & Sarcoma Awareness Month by giving our first presentation at an orthopedic conference! 🦓🦓

We will be presenting at the 23rd General Meeting of the International Society of Limb Salvage ( ) in Vienna, Austria, on September 26, 2026. ISOLS brings together global leaders in musculoskeletal oncology, limb salvage, and orthopaedic oncology to advance research and improve patient outcomes worldwide.

On behalf of the co-authors Drs Sydney Stern Alysia Kemp, Jennifer Halpern, Jenrik Hardes, and Sara Rothschild, our presentation, “The Impact of Arthroplasty on Patient-Reported Outcomes in Diffuse Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor: A Real-World Propensity-Score-Matched Analysis,” will share findings from the Registry examining the long-term impact of arthroplasty on physical function, pain, and quality of life among patients living with diffuse . The TGCT session will be chaired by internationally recognized experts and will feature an introductory lecture from Nicholas Bernthal on targeted therapies for TGCT.

L'association TGCT Support France vous propose une visio d'introduction sur la TGCT et comment en parler avec vos proches et vos praticiens, lundi 15 juin à 20h30.

Nous ferons également un point rapide sur l'ALD et le handicap, sachant qu'une session spécifique ciblée sur la constitution des dossiers est en préparation pour début juillet.

Les inscriptions sont ouvertes pour les non-adhérents sur le site de l'association.

Pre- meeting about discussing best clinical practices! Surgery is the mainstay treatment. However, for patients with diffuse TGCT and recurrent disease not likely to benefit from surgery, there’s an unmet need for alternative treatments. These alternatives depend on geographical availability.

Drs Silvia Stacchiotti and Vinod Ravi discuss all the considerations and side effects when consulting patients on these medications.

They covered CPK enzyme elevation as expected with medications for TGCT and stressed that this is an expected effect of these medications. Additionally, they covered the management of rash with supportive creams and dose modifications.

In this interview, Dr Sydney Stern (Head of TGCT Support Programs) discusses how advances in CSF1-targeted therapies are reshaping the treatment landscape, alongside the continued importance of multidisciplinary care and earlier specialist referral.
