At the 36th ICARUS Convention in Tallinn, Codruศ›a Mihailovici, Archivist Palaeographer at the National Archives of Romania presented the outcomes of the EURBICAโ€“ICDH Workshop held in Madrid on 20โ€“22 April 2026.

The Madrid workshop focused on promoting European joint nominations to the UNESCO Memory of the World International Register. It was assessed as a highly successful event, with very positive feedback from participants and partner institutions.

The programme combined an open expert session, presentations of joint nomination projects and direct exchanges with Memory of the World experts. It included eight presentations of joint nominations and nomination ideas, with representatives and experts from sixteen European countries and twenty-three speakers in total.

EURBICA will soon launch a series of posts presenting the joint nomination ideas discussed in Madrid, highlighting their European and global significance.
