"SciencesPo Refugee Help" est une association apolitique d'aide et d'intégration des réfugiés agissant dans un esprit positif avec une approche profondément humaine. Le but principal est de contribuer à l'amélioration des conditions de vie des réfugiés en se concentrant, sans se limiter, sur la ville de Paris. L'association étudiante espère pouvoir apporter une plateforme pour les étudiants qui se sentent engagés à soutenir les réfugiés ainsi qu'à combler le fossé entre ceux dans le besoin et ceux prêts à agir. L'aide apportée sera à la fois matérielle et immatérielle, dont de la traduction, ainsi qu'une aide administrative au cours de la demande d'asile et un soutien moral aux réfugiés. Sciences Po Refugee Help is an apolitical association of aid and integration of refugees acting in a positive spirit with a profoundly humane approach. The main aim is to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of refugees with special focus on, but not limited to Paris. The student association is intended to provide a platform for those students who feel committed to support refugees and thereby to bridge the gap between those in need and those willing to act. The help provided will be material as well as immaterial, including translation, moral and administrative support throughout the asylum seeking process.

[Inscriptions en biographie]⚓️ Conférence avec François Thomas, président de SOS Méditerranée 📢

Depuis 2015, à bord de l’Ocean Viking, SOS Méditerranée agit sans relâche en mer Méditerranée centrale, dans l’une des routes migratoires les plus meurtrières au monde.

Cette rencontre sera l’occasion d’explorer les enjeux cruciaux qui entourent les sauvetages en Méditerranée, à travers trois axes majeurs :
* Droit maritime international : quels leviers pour protéger les vies et les missions ? Comment concilier besoin humanitaire avec les contraintes juridiques et politiques ?
* Retours du terrain : les défis rencontrés par les bénévoles et les réalités des missions
* Témoignage : François Thomas reviendra sur sa participation à une opération de sauvetage en 2024, au cours de laquelle 196 personnes ont été secourues.

La conférence ce déroulera dans la salle Jeannie de Clarens, au 27 rue Saint Guillaume, à 19h15.

[Registration in bio]⚓️ Conference with François Thomas, President of SOS Méditerranée 📢

Since 2015, aboard the Ocean Viking, SOS Méditerranée has been working tirelessly in the central Mediterranean Sea, on one of the world’s deadliest migration routes.

This meeting will be an opportunity to explore the crucial issues surrounding rescues in the Mediterranean, through three main themes:
* International maritime law: what levers are available to protect lives and missions? How can humanitarian needs be reconciled with legal and political constraints?
* Feedback from the field: the challenges faced by volunteers and the realities of missions
* Testimony: François Thomas will share his experience of participating in a rescue operation in 2024, during which 196 people were rescued.

The conference will take place in the Jeannie de Clarens room, at 27 rue Saint Guillaume, at 7:15 pm.
