This month, L’AiR Arts is honoured to participate in the Culture Moves Europe mobility scheme, by hosting emerging artist Asja Mijović from Montenegro.
Funded by the .eu programme of the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut, this initiative supports individual mobility and residency projects across Europe and beyond.
It was a great pleasure to welcome , Cultural Policy Attaché Council of the European Union, who is actively involved in shaping EU cultural programmes and international cooperation, and to speak about Atelier 11 as a foundational symbol of European cultural mobility for over 150 years.
Today, in the spirit of programmes like Culture Moves Europe, we are reactivating this legacy by offering a historically grounded space for creatives in transition, including those whose mobility is shaped by war or persecution.
We hope that, through our joint efforts, Atelier 11 will continue to stand strong, demonstrating that creative mobility transcends simple travel and becomes a profound expression of belonging within a shared and inclusive European cultural space.
We invite you to support our efforts and not to miss Asja’s Open Studio on April 25, where she will present her new work alongside our Paris-based resident, Lora Zyuzina in collaboration with .
