🎉 As Community Partners of Foundation we are excited to invite you to the upcoming Science: Polish Perspectives Meetup Paris !

This time the Polonium Foundation is bringing the Polish Scientific Diaspora meeting to Paris, France. The main theme of the event: “Women in Science and Business”. Maria Skłodowska-Curie, the Patroness of our Foundation, undoubtedly obliges us to focus the light on strong, independent, and bright women. Thus, during the stage will be occupied by the female speakers. All are invited!

Thank you Polish Embassy in The Netherlands for your invitation to .verschoor lecture on her book 🇵🇱🇳🇱📚

In her book 'Het meisje en de geleerde. Kroniek van twee verloren gewaande Rembrandts', Gerdien Verschoor sketches the fascinating story of the wanderings of the two paintings and interweaves it with the life story of the Polish countess Karolina Lanckorońska. Last year the book was published in Polish as 'Dziewczyna i uczony. Historia dwóch Rembrandtów z kolekcji Karoliny Lanckorońskiej'. The book was very well received in both the Netherlands and Poland.😁

Gerdien Verschoor (1963) is an art historian and author. She lived for more than ten years in Poland, the country where her novels The thread and the flying needle and The head of Oskar Wronski are also set.✒️
