PIARC has officially launched the Call for Papers for the XXVIIIth World Road Congress, taking place in Vancouver, Canada, from 4 to 8 October 2027 under the theme: “Paving the Road to a Cleaner Future.”

Road and transport professionals from around the world are invited to submit abstracts across 57 Congress topics covering sustainability, resilience, digitalization, safety, mobility, and the future of road infrastructure and transport systems.

Abstracts may be submitted in English, French or Spanish until 31 August 2026. All submitted papers will also automatically be considered for the PIARC Prizes 2027, recognising excellence and innovation across the global road community.
