🇪🇺 Our fight for a more & society started in France, yesterday we pushed the doors of .
🗣 Raising awareness of among our elected officials. There are different types. Type 1 is an autoimmune, incurable, non-hereditary, non-genetic disease that can be diagnosed at any age and can affect anyone. It is not related to what you have eaten or your activity. The cause is unknown but the number of people diagnosed has doubled in 20 years. We manage our condition very well with blood glucose sensors & insulin injections. We can exercise, travel, eat whatever we want: nothing is impossible!
🚨Warn on the that affect diabetics in Europe. Discriminations in , in license, in . More than 20 year old directives, based on misunderstanding, preconceived ideas, & the medical advances of the time, prohibit more than 200 on the simple "fault" of carrying this condition (army, police, prison service, rescue, transportation, seafarers, civil aviation...). A dog can get into the police, I can't. Spare us this double punishment, don't make us sub-citizens, we demand the same as all .
🔬Demand the of diabetes by 2030. Being able to live with it is great. Curing it is better. the 537 million in the world is not a utopia, we just need to unite European and give them the means. Create a with a fraction of the 115 billion euros needed each year to treat diabetes & its complications in Europe. Save 700 million people living with (projection in 2030).
🎯 Let's work together, at 27, to be more effective: to fight , to boost , to accelerate .
We carried the voice of type 1s to the EU Parliament & I hope convinced our representatives of the of our proposals.
