IYCS Signs MoU with SJS EOA Farm Kilimanjaro Tanzania

The International Young Catholic Students IYCS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with St Joseph Sustainable SJS Ecological Organic Agriculture EOA Farm Kilimanjaro Tanzania to promote ecological awareness and sustainable development among young people.

The agreement was represented by Roshan Melwyn Lobo Secretary General of IYCS and Fr Alwyn D Souza Director of SJS EOA Farm.

Inspired by Laudato Si, this partnership encourages young people to embrace care for creation by engaging in sustainable agriculture and agripreneurship while building a better future 🌱🌍

🌟 Celebrating 80 Years of Global Student Faith in Action! 🌟

2026 marks 80 years of international coordination of the Young Catholic Students (IYCS–JECI)! While the JEC-YCS movement was founded in 1928, it was in September 1946 at Fribourg, Switzerland, that representatives from eight countries came together, establishing the foundation for international coordination. This led to the creation of the International YCS Secretariat in Paris, supporting student movements worldwide and promoting the Faith-Life-Action experience.

To commemorate this milestone, we are proud to unveil the official 80th Anniversary Logo of IYCS–JECI.
