🎵 Save the date : let’s meet in Calgary!

How can music help shape stronger, more inclusive and more sustainable cities?

From 29 September to 1 October 2026, the Alberta Music Cities Convention (Music Cities Events) will bring together policymakers, music industry professionals, cultural leaders and innovators from around the world to explore the role of music in shaping the cities of tomorrow.

Our President, Jesse Boere , will be among the event’s speakers.

Across three days, conversations will span music tourism, cultural infrastructure, Indigenous music economies, climate action, public health, urban development and the future of music policy.

📍 IMC is in Utrecht!

On 3–4 September, the International Music Council will take part in the Tune-In II Symposium, organised by Museum Geelvinck as part of the European Keyboard Heritage Network and held in parallel with the Festival Early Music Utrecht.

Under the theme Towards a Living European Sound Heritage, the symposium brings together stakeholders from across Europe to explore how musical sound heritage can remain alive, audible and meaningful for future generations.

IMC Director of Programmes & Partnerships Davide Grosso will moderate the two-day programme, guiding discussions, case studies and workshops around communication and engagement, living heritage, and the future of historic keyboard instruments and the knowledge surrounding them.
