To Whom It May Concern:
The three‑year conflict in Ethiopia’s Amhara region has inflicted devastating harm on civilians. Since 2023, aerial strikes, militia clashes, and mass detentions have killed hundreds and displaced more than a million people. Families have been torn apart, livelihoods destroyed, and communities forced into constant insecurity. Markets, schools, and hospitals have been hit, while thousands remain imprisoned under harsh conditions. We respectfully call for an immediate end to this war so that citizens may resume their daily lives in peace, rebuild their communities, and restore stability. Peace and the well‑being of the people must be given the highest priority.
