During Ambassador Mills’ attendance at the UNESCO Executive Board on Thursday 20th November 2025, in Paris, France, she had the pleasure of meeting two Jamaicans working at UNESCO (far right and left respectively):

I. Alton Grizzle, Programme Specialist in Communication and Information in the Division for Freedom of Expression Media Development and Media and information Literacy; and

II. Nicole Webley,Associate Programme Specialist in the Division of Science Policy and Basic Sciences

Also present for the Executive Board meeting was Debra Kay Palmer, Director, World Heritage and Cultural Conventions- Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport.

It is always great to see Jamaicans doing well in International Organisations.

Today, JaminFrance received over 1800€ from to assist victims of Hurricane Melissa.

The school community decided to wear the Jamaican colours today instead of their usual uniform and the students were well mobilised.

This is a great demonstration of the values we need to teach the next generation.

We thank the students, parents, teachers and members of staff of ICS for their generous contributions and empathy towards the people of Jamaica.
