Jeunesse et Reconstruction est une association créée en 1948 qui favorise les échanges et la solidarité interculturelle à travers l'engagement volontaire, dans un esprit de tolérance et d'ouverture. Chaque été, J&R organise ses propres chantiers internationaux en France, accueillant ainsi dans notre pays 625 volontaires de 32 nationalités. Jeunesse et Reconstruction is a non-political, non-profit and non-governmental organisation, founded in 1948. Our goals are to build a peaceful society, to decrease social injustice and to promote citizenship through the organisation of work camps that welcome international volunteers. We want to facilitate cooperation between youth organisations, to involve French young people into programmes on the national and international level in the fields of education, culture, ecology, historical heritage protection and to help disadvantaged people. In France, we organise work camps with the help of local communities. We also run long term projects with other international organisations as well as trainings and European seminars.
