Intermezzo is an artist studio based in the center of Paris that has the will to transform itself once a year and for a period of one month, in an artist residency intended for artists living abroad. This project is a private initiative born of the collaboration between Intermezzo and Primo Piano where during the duration of the residency is organized a personal exhibition, the result of an exchan
ge between the guest artist and a curator living in France. The objective is to give the artist the opportunity to create links with the French art scene, offering specific appointments with curators, critics and art historians. Intermezzo est un atelier dans le centre de Paris qui a la volonté de se transformer une fois par an et pour une durée d’un mois, en résidence destinée à des artistes vivant à l’étranger. Le lieu permet à l’artiste d’y vivre et d’y travailler. Ce projet est une initiative privée né de la collaboration entre Intermezzo et Primo Piano où, pendant la durée de la résidence, est organisée une exposition personnelle, fruit d’un échange entre l’artiste invité et un commissaire vivant en France. L’objectif est de donner à l’artiste l’occasion de créer des liens avec la scène artistique française, en proposant des rendez-vous spécifiques avec des commissaires, critiques, historiens.
