🌍 Free Webinar on Advocacy

The RE-ACT IN II Project invites youth workers, activists, volunteers, project managers, and community members to join a free webinar on Advocacy, organised by EFS and IFS - International Federation of Settlements and Neighbourhood Centres

This webinar is organised in cooperation with our members Locality (United Kingdom) and Organisation Alternatives pour l'Enfance et la Jeunesse (Morocco).

🗣️ Language: The webinar will be held in English, with translation available in French and Arabic.

✨ Why advocacy for public space?
Advocacy provides tools to identify issues, build evidence, design strategies, and communicate messages that support inclusive, accessible, and just public spaces. Public spaces are deeply political. They reflect power relations, access, and exclusion. Through advocacy, communities can influence decision-making processes and push for sustainable and people-centered urban change.

👉 Public space belongs to everyone — and advocacy makes participation possible.

🌱 Community Organizing for Youth Involvement

RE-ACT IN II Project, Co-funded by the European Union, invites youth workers, activists, and community members to take part to a FREE training organized by Hayat APS on Community Organizing for Youth Involvement, a collective learning journey running from December 2025 to March 2026.

✨ Why community organizing?
Community organizing is a set of practices and a process for the training of local leaders and communities and for the creation of civic organizations working on political activism, urban regeneration, and social justice.

A community organizer is someone who, by vocation or profession, facilitates the creation of a community organization. Community organizing is deeply linked to places: districts, neighbourhoods, public buildings, and commons. Wherever a local community can be identified, a community organizing process can begin.
👉 Proximity is the key.

Community organizing does not start from problems alone. At its core lies the question of power and its redistribution. Its objective is to give power to the powerless, because facing complex social challenges and achieving social justice requires people and local communities to be actively involved.

“The problems facing communities are not a consequence of a lack of effective solutions.
They are a consequence of a lack of power to implement these solutions.”
— Barack Obama, 1988
