🎉𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗜𝗧𝗜 - 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲!
The International Theatre Institute (ITI) is pleased to share its New Year greetings, shaped by voices from different regions, cultural backgrounds, and artistic paths. Together, they offer a quiet reflection of ITI today — diverse in expression, rooted in culture, and connected by a shared belief in the value of theatre and the performing arts.

As we look ahead to 2026, these voices invite us to value dialogue and listening, and to stay open to encounters where ideas and artistic practices can unfold in their own time. They remind us that inspiration moves across cultures, generations, and ways of seeing the world.

ITI lives through the work of its Centres, Committees, and members — through performances and conversations, research and education, and the many moments of exchange that often begin quietly and travel far. It is through these gestures, both large and small, that our network remains alive.

We warmly thank all ITI members for their commitment and engagement, and wish you a year filled with creativity, openness, and meaningful connections — on stage and beyond.

📣𝗜𝗧𝗜 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀
In 2025, ITI Brazil strengthened its role as a bridge between local theatre communities and the international performing arts network through a year marked by collective action, territorial outreach and international dialogue.

The Centre coordinated a nationwide World Theatre Day mobilization, engaging more than 6,000 participants in person and reaching over 270,000 views on social media, significantly amplifying the visibility of Brazilian theatre across different regions and communities.

Through forums and structured listening processes involving over 89 theatre groups, ITI Brazil mapped key sector demands and delivered a collective Theatre Sector Letter to public cultural institutions. Throughout the year, the Centre expanded its national presence to five additional Brazilian states, while maintaining ongoing social and educational programs that offered language scholarships, psychosocial support and professional opportunities for artists from peripheral and underrepresented communities. https://iti-brazil.org/forum/

On the international front, ITI Brazil deepened Latin American and Lusophone connections, initiating dialogues with theatre organizations and festivals in Peru, Bolivia and Cape Verde, and opening pathways for future cooperation with countries interested in developing closer relations with ITI at both regional and global levels.

In parallel, 2025 marked an important milestone as Brazil formally submitted its official candidacy to host a future ITI World Congress, opening a long-term process of international articulation, institutional dialogue and strategic planning aimed at strengthening global exchange and accessibility within the performing arts.

Together, these actions reinforced ITI Brazil’s commitment to access, representation and international collaboration, laying solid foundations for the 2026–2027 cycle.

🟪𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 & 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱
ITI Brazil warmly invites ITI Centres, networks and independent initiatives, particularly from Latin America, the Caribbean and Lusophone countries, to connect with us in the coming years. We welcome collaborations in artistic exchange, diffusion, capacity building, joint calls, residencies and collective initiatives, strengthening South–South dialogue and expanding the global circulation of diverse theatrical practices.
