The sun keeps shining. The wind keeps blowing. No one can cut off your access to them, raise their price, or use them as leverage.

Solar and wind power are growing fast, and countries that invest in them are building energy systems that are more stable, more affordable, and harder to disrupt.

Renewables are ready. Governments, industry, policy, and finance must act now to deploy solutions quickly and at scale.

If renewable energy is growing at record speed, why are our economies still so dependent on fossil fuels?

Renewable energy has the potential to make economies more energy secure, resilient and prosperous. But the systems needed to support a renewables-based economy are not yet in place.

Join us for the launch of the Renewables-Based Economy Tracker, the first global tool designed to measure how renewable energy is reshaping economies and societies beyond the power sector.

If the world ran on renewables, we would not be in this mess.

Renewables can unlock an array of solutions to current global problems if we just let them, not by magic, but by true systemic changes in how we see energy.

Energy is everything, and everything is connected, everywhere. Let’s REset the connection.

Ready for more? 🔋

We’re inviting you to join us this Wednesday 13 May, 15:00–16:15 CEST, for the second dialogue in our Global RENdez-vous Series — exploring Systems Integration for Renewables-Based Economies.

Building on our first session, we’ll look at how energy systems must be integrated to meet evolving demand for renewables and electrification.

We will have incredible speakers joining the conversation:
➡️ Dr. Qiao Geng – Energy Storage Technology Expert, GEIRI Europe, SGCC
➡️ Saloni Sachdeva Michael – Lead Energy Specialist, IEEFA
➡️ Mahika Sri Krishna – Senior Manager, Research & Analysis, LDES Council

How are transport, buildings, agriculture, and industry reshaping electricity demand - and what does that mean for energy security and economic resilience?

The first dialogue in REN21’s Global RENdez-vous Series brings together voices from across regions to explore why demand-led approaches are central to the shift toward renewables-based economies.

This Wednesday, 6 May, 15:00-16:15 CEST:

“Demand as a Driver: Electrification, Energy Security and Economic Resilience”

Co-organised with SLOCAT Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) and more.

A renewables-based economy gives us more than just electricity. It gives us stability, opportunity, and economies built to last.

Energy has always been extracted, traded and controlled by a few. Renewable energy changes that.
