Avec « Maîtriser », le directeur artistique d’AKAA, Sitor Senghor, met en lumière des artistes qui ont su apprivoiser leur matière avec créativité, vision et technique, sans se laisser dicter par les tendances.
Ces artistes, présents sur les grandes scènes internationales, portent haut l’identité africaine tout en affirmant une démarche singulière et universelle. Leur travail, souvent imité mais rarement égalé, se distingue par sa générosité plastique et une beauté empreinte d’humilité.

With “Maîtriser”, AKAA’s Artistic Director Sitor Senghor highlights artists who have mastered their material through creativity, vision, and technique, without yielding to trends or market pressures.
These artists, well established on the international stage, embody both a strong African identity and a universal reach. Their practice, often imitated but rarely matched, is marked by artistic generosity and a beauty rooted in humility.
