Celles-ci hébergent les bases de l’industrie avec la participation des investisseurs étrangers. Elles jouent un rôle crucial dans la diversification des activités économiques du pays.

🎙️ Intervenant : M. Thanouxay Kéovilay
Premier Secrétaire de l’Ambassade du Laos à Paris, en charge des affaires économiques et commerciales. Diplomate spécialisé dans la promotion des investissements et la coopération internationale, il représente le Laos dans plusieurs forums multilatéraux (UNESCO, OCDE) et travaille notamment sur l'incitation des investissements directs dans les secteurs de l’énergie verte et de la logistique.

Dans le cadre du cycle de conférences Laos, organisé par le Centre d'Etude et de Recherche sur les Littératures et les Oralités du Monde (CERLOM) et le Comité de coopération avec le Laos (CCL).

We are pleased to invite you to a conference on Special Economic Zones in Laos.
These zones serve as hubs for the industry, with the participation of foreign investors. They play a crucial role in diversifying the country’s economic activities.

🎙️ Speaker: Mr. Thanouxay Keovilay
First Secretary at the Lao Embassy in Paris, in charge of economic and commercial affairs. A diplomat specializing in investment promotion and international cooperation, he represents Laos in several multilateral forums (UNESCO, OECD) and works in particular to attract foreign direct investment in the green energy and logistics sectors.

As part of the Laos conference series, organized by the Center for the Study and Research of World Literatures and Oral Traditions (CERLOM) and the Cooperation Committee with Laos (CCL).

We work to improve the health of rural populations in a sustainable way by strengthening health infrastructure and staff skills, supporting communities in prevention and education, and implementing targeted interventions for women, young children, and in schools.

🌊 Together for Water in the Namsa Watershed – A Story of Lasting Cooperation

This World Water Day, we celebrate not just a date, but a decade of commitment. On March 20, 2026, in the village of Nabon (Laos), authorities, technicians, teachers, and families gathered to mark how far we’ve come – and how much further we can go together.

Since 2017, the Namsa watershed has been a living laboratory for Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). As part of the institutional cooperation established between OiEau and the Lao Ministry of the Environment, CCL is committed to the operational implementation of IWRM in the basin.

What started as a pilot project and benefits over 1,750 people with sustainable access to safe water, is now being scaled up to provide long-term support for the Namsa basin, thanks to a unique Franco Lao partnership between CCL, OiEau, the decentralized agencies of the Ministries of Health and the Environment, as well as the civil society organization RDA and local communities.

💧 4 gravity fed water systems built
💧 5 village water committees trained and active
💧 100% of families equipped with latrines
💧 A new phase: the AGIRE project (2025–2028) expands to 10 villages, strengthening governance and local ownership.

CONFERENCE CCL ce soir mercredi à l'INALCO !

Paul Brey, directeur général et fondateur de l’Institut Pasteur du Laos (IPL) de sa création en 2007 jusqu’en 2023, viendra nous présenter l'histoire de l'Institut, ses objectifs, ses missions, ses axes de recherche.

Le Dr Brey est titulaire d’un doctorat en entomologie médicale, ses recherches initiales portant sur l’immunité innée des insectes et la génomique des moustiques. Depuis son mandat au Laos, ses recherches se sont orientées vers les virus infectieux émergents et réémergents chez les insectes, les tiques et les chauves-souris

CCL wished you all the best for this new year !

In 2025, CCL worked hand in hand with more than 5,000 farming families to help improve their access to water and sanitation, increase their incomes, reduce the economic and environmental vulnerability of their agroecosystems, share local knowledge on development challenges and climate change adaptation, and support their farmer organizations, notably in Phongsaly with the Nyot Ou Tea cooperative.

In 2026, our goal is to continue contributing to rural development in Laos, still improve the livelihoods of smallholder farming families, and support the development of agroecological value chains that generate income for farmers while safeguarding natural resources and biodiversity.

Une conférence CCLvientiane à ne pas louper ce soir Mercredi 5 Novembre!

Dr. Grégroire Schlemmer, socio-annthropologue et chercheur à l'Institut de Recherche et Développement (IRD) , nous présentera sa conférence sur "les Ho - enquête sur une ethnie chinoise".

Les rares sources qui mentionnent les Ho évoquent des origines multiples et parfois romanesques : anciens caravaniers musulmans venus de Chine, descendants d'Ouzbecks, ex-pirates, contrebandiers d'opium ou vestiges des troupes nationalistes du Kuomintang. Qui sont réellement les Ho?

Grégoire Schlemmer a vécu de nombreuses années à Phongsaly, province du Nord du Laos. Son travail porte sur une approche ethno-historique sur la constitution des appartenances et les relations inter-ethniques.

La conférence aura lieu à Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (Inalco) à 18h30, salle 3.12.
