Windows for Beirut

The double explosion that occurred on August 4, 2020 in the heart of Beirut was a coup de grace for Lebanon, a country already facing for several months a triple economic, political and health crisis unprecedented in its history. The human and material toll is considerable.

Faced with this emergency situation and the identified risks of shortages, food and medical aid is essential; it must be accelerated and amplified. It must also be supplemented by massive action on housing in order to allow the 300,000 affected people, deprived of means and today homeless to return home. This is the ambition of Windows for Beirut.

Our main objective is to create, as soon as possible, the conditions necessary for the return of the populations of the disaster areas of Beirut, by focusing on the rehabilitation of their homes, and in particular on the facade work (windows, aluminum, waterproofing) .

The collection of donations * will make it possible to finance these essential repairs that most of the victims are not able to undertake (lack of resources, capped bank withdrawals, need to pay in cash and in international currency the craftsmen who import the equipment , low rate of non-insurance, uncertainty over insurance coverage, etc.).
